Flash brackets are overpriced for what they offer, if you are DIY inclined scratch around the HW store and invest in some of the metal brackets car sound installers use and a few 1/4 UNC nuts and bolts and a flsh extension cable.
This would work for a basic bracket. But when you are out hiking around the jungle for 8 hours a day for a month straight you want a product that is rock solid and designed for the purpose. I am a HUGE dIY fan and make loads of stuff for photography. But this is one area where I will happily spend the cash.
