Not sure where Canon is going these days. I too am waiting for a new 7D but it seems like it is less and less likely. I had heard that Canon might upgrade its xxD line to its former status and drop the 7D completely. It really seems like they are moving towards video and leaving still photography behind. Switching to Nikon is out of the question for me financially so maybe a 1DIV if I can find a new one. That won't thrill the wife. :-) All the best Ron Have to agree with you. I think they can do better than just one stop of ISO performance after looking at the new 5D specs. We spent the first week of Feb at the Napo Wildlife Center in the Amazon region and were amazed at the diversity of wildlife there. Hopefully, we will return to Ecuador someday and visit some of the other areas since they seem amazing as well as evidenced by your photos. I look forward to your next trip report.
