Any time you see an Owl in the wild it always feels special. While they are found throughout the globe in a variety of habitats, they are particularly common and are never easy to find. Throughout the ages they have been shrouded in myth and folklore. They inspire a sense of wonder, and even fear, in those lucky enough to share their presence.
What is it about Owls that makes them so interesting to nature lovers? Maybe we are fascinated by them because of their incredible binocular vison and phenomenal hearing that allow them to locate prey, even in the darkest of conditions? Perhaps it is the incredible ability to rotate their heads almost entirely around? Or perhaps it is their unique flight feathers that allow them to silently glide through the trees in flight?
Whatever the case may be these cryptic and mysterious birds are beautiful to look at and worth every bit of our awe and admiration.
